Nina Pham, the nurse who contracted Ebola while

Pham was the first person to contract Ebola within the U.S. She
was infected with the virus while treating Thomas Eric Duncan, who
later died from Ebola. Pham was eventually transferred to NIH's clinical
center in Maryland.
Speaking at NIH on Friday, Pham said, "I feel fortunate and blessed to
be standing here today. I would first and foremost like to thank God, my
family, and friends."
