Russian monument to Steve Jobs removed after Apple CEO comes out as gay

A Russian memorial to the late Steve Jobs has reportedly (link is external) been removed after     current Apple CEO, Tim Cook, came out as gay in an op-ed (link is external) published last week.
The iPhone "monument" was erected (link is external) outside an IT college in January, 2013 by a
group of Russian companies known as ZEFS. The group said (link is external) in a statement it    removed the memorial on Friday to "abide to the Russian federal law protecting children from  information promoting denial of traditional family values".

According to the group, the memorial (link is external) was "in an area of direct access for young students and scholars".
Signed last year, the law prohibits (link is external) the spread of "gay propaganda" to minors.
